This was a really interesting post! the drink is beautiful. Your pineapple chips has such a fresh yellow color and when i compare to pictures of dehydrated pineapple chips made in the owen, they look more "greyish" how come is that difference you think?

When are you around Clio? I'm usually down at ES or ICOB a few blocks away, so Clio isn't too much farther.

Just tried some of this punch at Clio and really enjoyed it. While there, I also heard that you were the milk punch guru. I've made a version of the standard California Milk Punch, which, despite the mediocre booze going in, turned out to be quite tasty. Rather glad that milk punch seems to thrive in Boston.

Bingo! I saw that it was the Donn's crew that made the judgement, and I also knew that with all the friends/fans entering, things would have to be blind.

But it *still* doesn't surprise me that a Suzanne recipe would win! The woman has mad skilz. She's done great things with champagne before that knocked my socks off.

Wish she lived near me....*sniff*....
(Or maybe that's a good thing.)

The entries were judged blindly in two rounds. In the first round, we had the recipes stripped from the entrants' names and drank them. We then voted a bunch of recipes and sent them to the Don's crew for their final say.

While I'd love to tease that it's nepotism - nay, practically incest to have Suzanne be a winner - the truth is that her drinks just plain *ROCK*!! I am absolutely not surprised that her recipe won, and I can't wait to try making my own :)
